Christmas Eve in London. While the snow-clad city gets ready to celebrate the festival of
peace and joy, a series of bizarre incidents shatter the Christmas calm. A couple of luckless
Indians find themselves hauled by the London police and made scapegoats.
The film deals with seven individuals living in London hoping to make it big. They are
Krish (Anil Kapoor) a sharp and egotistical lawyer who has unmatched legal skills. Rocker
(Sunil Shetty) is an obsessed lover clear about one thing - nothing comes on his way. Pipi
(Irfan Khan) is a soulful thinker who would always prefer to tread the hard but right path.
Tubby (Arshad Warsi) is a playboy. Sim (Tanushree Dutta) is a temptress with a dubious past.
Devaa (Emran Hashmi) is a passionate musician who sees the world in black and white. Mansoon
(Sushma Reddy) is a charming down-on-her luck journalist.
Suddenly they are in the news due to some unsavory incidents that occur in the city. They
are booked by the police, which lead to web of ominous plots, slowly unearthing the true and
mystifying personalities of seven individuals.
Even as the dust settles and the truth slowly unravels, one thing remains clear - sometimes it's best not to ask too many questions.
Pritam (of Dhoom fame) has composed the music. There were good expectations from the music of 'Chocolate' due to Pritam's name
on the credits and the opening song 'Halka Halka' already being popular. But to one's pleasant surprise, 'Chocolate' delivers much
more than expected with none of the tracks belonging to a variety where they could be skipped. 'Chocolate' turns out to be one of
those 'different from the routine' genre of albums that should work especially with the young.
'Chocolate' is a delicious winner all the away, hence maintaining Emraan Hashmi's string
of musical hits after 'Footpath', 'Murder', 'Tumsa Nahi Dekha' and 'Zeher'.
Directed by debutante Vivek Agnihotri, Chocolate is produced by the Spice Life Entertainment team of Vibha-Ragini.
