What if Microsoft manufactures the Cars?
Hi all,
General Motors says that if it had developed technology like Microsoft, cars will have the following characteristics:
- Your car would crash twice a day for no reason at all.
- Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.
- Your car would die on the road. Then you will pull over to the side, close all the windows, shut off the car, restart it & reopen the windows before you could continue.
- While performing a simple task, such as a left turn...It will shut down & refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.
- Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, 5 times as fast & twice as easy to drive - but would run on only 5% of the roads.
- Oil, water temperature & alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light.
- This one's lethal! The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.
- Your car would lock you out & refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key & grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
- Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn driving all over again as none of the controls would operate in the same way as the old car.
- You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.
- And the worst is, for some reason you would accept all this.
