When I was young I loved you so I cried when I had to let you go. I would sit on the cold concrete In the middle of winter Just to see you come home. Now, I'm older And I have grown up some more But my love For you still is sure. So, now I am a teenager Moody and unsure But I will tell you now My heart is for you alone. Maybe sometimes It seems as though I hate you Like I want you to leave But the truth is I love you I'm scared to show my affection For you. My life is cloudy when you aren't there My life is a storm In the September air But to let go would take Away my hope for another day. You are my hope The reason I get by each day Because your love stands true Over the ocean so blue. I am so glad That you found me I would have been truly lost without you You are my hope Of the brand new day And, because of what you've done I can surely say My life has been fulfilled Because you love me.
