A VOID
There was that silent upheaval,
The war, in your eyes
I could see it all -
Just love
True 'n' Simple.
As we parted
Our faces smiling,
Our hearts screamed aloud,
Never say goodbye.
I felt my soul tearing apart,
I turned back,
Saw it, drifting towards you
My mind a whirlpool.
My emotions transfixed.
I sat up in gloom.
I made a few questionings
To the me, myself.
The answers came soon enough
Sooner than I thought.
A screen fell over my hazel eyes.
A tear or two made a parting note.
Washing clear, every, single, doubt!
I had lost something!
And, it was'nt you.
It, was me.
You had taken, a part of me.
You did leave me empty.
There is a void.
